China plans to invest 200-250 mln USD to modernize the irrigation system of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine), declared Rustam Temirgaliev, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Crimea, on December 10.
According to him, there was approved the draft decree to rename the Crimean enterprise of beekeeping Krympcheloprom to the Crimean republican enterprise Krymzernoprom, in order to realize the project. The newly established enterprise and investors from China - Chinese state-owned corporation of international cooperation - will sign the reporting agreement.
There is a decision of the Government of China that the company to act as the investor in the Crimea. The enterprise Krymzernoprom will receive land assets, primarily from state agricultural companies, said R.Temirgaliev.
According to the Vice Prime-Minister, it is planned that at the first stage the project area to not exceed 50 thsd ha.
