In November Russia imported the record volumes of soybeans
According to the official statistics data, in November 2013 the imports of soybeans to Russia totaled 194.1 thsd tonnes, an increase of 19% compared with the previous record - 163.3 thsd tonnes (October 2013).
Growing of the indicator in the reporting month was achieved at the expense of resumption of supply of the oilseed from the USA (63.6 thsd tonnes) and increasing of the shipments from Ukraine by 25.1 thsd tonnes (40.3 thsd tonnes) compared with October 2013.
At the same time, the supply volumes of soybeans from Paraguay significantly declined - from 115 thsd tonnes in October, to 59.6 thsd tonnes in November.
Generally, during the first 3 months of the season-2013/14 Russia imported 452.5 thsd tonnes of soybeans, up 2.6 times compared with the result of the same period in 2012/13 MY.
