Odessa grain terminal of State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine exported 1 mln tonnes of grains
For the first time in 50 years, during the first half of the marketing year the Odessa grain terminal of PJSC State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine exported 1 mln tonnes of grains, declared Petr Cheglatonev, Head of the terminal, on January 17.
According to him, the terminal managed to increase the rates of grain shipment by almost 40%, because all divisions of the Corporation are working smoothly and rhythmically. During July-December period of 2013 the Odessa grain terminal loaded over 100 vessels with grain cargoes for exports, including 90% of the vessels shipping grain volumes of the Corporation.
P.Cheglatonev also noted that in the first half of 2013/14 MY the terminal shipped grain batches at the volumes varying from 5 thsd tonnes to 62 thsd tonnes to such countries as China, Spain, the Netherlands, Egypt, Japan, Bangladesh, etc. In January 2014 the Odessa grain terminal plans to export nearly 100 thsd tonnes of grains.
