Russia: average annual growth in the agricultural sector in 2014-2019 to total 5-7% - A.Ulyukayev
During the following 5 years the average growing rates of the Russian agro-industrial complex will total 5-7% per year, outscoring the growing rates of Russia's economy as a whole, declared Alexei Ulyukayev, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation on January 27.
According to him, there is some possibility that in a good year the index may rise to 10-12%, and in a bad one – to the level of 0%.
He reminded that in 2013 the Russian agricultural sector showed the highest growth rates among other sectors of the domestic economy - nearly 7%, while the gross domestic product growth totaled 1.4% only.
