Ukraine: in 2013 wheat flour exports increased by 36.6% - Ministry of Revenue and Duties
In 2013 Ukrainian producers supplied 214.1 thsd tonnes of wheat flour on foreign markets, an increase of 36.6% compared with the previous year, declared the Ministry of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine on 27 January.
According to the announcement, last year the revenues from flour exports totaled 71.2 mln USD, against 51 mln USD in 2012.
In 2013, the imports of wheat flour to the country totaled 3.1 thsd tonnes, down 20.5% compared with 2012. In monetary terms the volume of flour imports decreased to the level of 2.5 mln USD, against 2 8 mln USD in the previous year.
The Ministry of Revenue and Duties also reported that in 2013, the exports of flour from grains of other crops increased in 1.5 times compared with 2012 - to 7.2 thsd tonnes. The revenues from foreign supplies of the commodity reached 3.8 mln USD, against 3.1 mln USD in the previous year.
In 2013 the volume of such flour imports decreased in 31.3 times - to 256 tonnes in physical terms, and down 11.6 times - to 163 thsd USD in monetary terms.
