In January-November Russia reduced grain exports to 16.6 mln tonnes - Rosstat
In January-November period of 2013 the volume of grain exports from Russia totaled 16.596 mln tonnes, a decrease of 22.9% compared with the same period of 2012, declared the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on January 28.
In particular, in the reporting period the export volume of wheat and meslin totaled 12.252 mln tonnes, down 19.9% compared with January-November last year. Also, during the first 11 months Russia significantly reduced the exports of barley - down 34%, to 2.188 mln tonnes; rice - down 56.3%, to 134 thsd tonnes; maize - down 2.2%, to 1.917 mln tonnes; wheat and wheat-rye flour - down 25.5%, to 97.7 thsd tonnes; and sunflower seed - down 79.5%, to 55.3 thsd tonnes.
