Russia: in 2014, agricultural production to continue growing – Ministry of Agriculture
The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia expects to keep the positive dynamics of production in the agricultural industry in 2014, while not excluding the possibility of some slowdown in its growth, declared Dmitry Yuriev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on January 30.
According to him, development of the domestic agriculture in the current year will be realized in accordance with the priorities set by the state program for the industry development.
Special attention will be provided to such directions as creation of the required conditions for development of rural areas, boosting employment and income, development of cooperatives in rural areas, improving the mechanisms of regulation of agricultural markets, said D.Yuriev.
