Russia: grain exports exceeded 17.3 mln tonnes - Ministry of Agriculture
Since the beginning of the current season (July 1, 2013), and as of January 26, 2014, the general exports of Russian grains already reached the level of 17.327 mln tonnes, up 28.5% compared with the same period of 2012/13 MY (13.48 mln tonnes). In particular, the export volumes included 13.101 mln tonnes of wheat, 1.99 mln tonnes of barley, 2.034 mln tonnes of maize, 201 thsd tonnes of other grains, announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, referring to operative data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
According to the announcement, on January 1-26 Russia exported 942 thsd tonnes of grains, including 542 thsd tonnes of wheat, 32 thsd tonnes of barley, 351 thsd tonnes of maize, 16 thsd tonnes of other grains.
