In January 2014 the seaports of Russia increased the volumes of grain shipments in 2.9 times compared with the same month last year - to 1.2 mln tonnes, announced the Association of Sea Commercial Ports of the Russian Federation on February 10.
At the same time, in the reporting month there was observed some increase of mineral fertilizers shipment - up 11.4%, to 1 mln tonnes.
In January the general cargo turnover at the Russian seaports increased by 1.5% compared with same month in 2013, and totaled 46.4 mln tonnes.
