Kazakhstan: in 2014 the planted areas of crops to increase by 1.5%
In 2014 the planted areas of agricultural crops in Kazakhstan will increase by 1.5% compared with 2013, and total nearly 21.8 mln ha, announced Asylzhan Mamytbekov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on February 11. In particular, the planted areas of spring crops will reach 19 mln ha, added A.Mamytbekov.
According to him, in the coming year there are good forecasts of moisture content, taking into account the autumn and winter soil moisture reserves and precipitations.
The Minister also promised to resolve the issues on financing the planting campaign and crediting of agricultural enterprises, including budgetary credits provided to the state holding KazAgro.
