According to official statistics, in Kazakhstan as of February 1, 2014, the stocks of grains and pulses totaled 12.233 mln tonnes, a decrease of 1.4% only compared with the same date last year (12.409 mln tonnes). Thus, rice and wheat stocks showed some decreasing of its stocks (down 8 and 3%, respectively), and the reporting grain volumes covered 85% of the stocks structure. But maize, barley, rye, oats, buckwheat and millet showed some increase of the stock volumes.
It should be added that as of the reporting date, the stocks of grains and pulses also lowered by 11% compared with the previous month index (13.718 mln tonnes), and all varieties of agricultural crops showed the reduction indices.
