In January Russia increased the production of sunflower oil - Rosstat
In January 2014 the production volumes of wheat and wheat-rye flour in Russia totaled 643 thsd tonnes, a decrease of 9.7% compared with the index in the same month of 2013, declared the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on February 17.
Also, in 2013 Russia showed some rise of buckwheat and oat groats production – up 13.7% to 25.4 thsd tonnes, and up 12.1% to 4.1 thsd tonnes, respectively.
Besides, in the reporting period Russia significantly increased the production of crude sunflower oil and its fractions to 364 thsd tonnes, up 43.7%, informed Rosstat.
