Ukraine exported 24.7 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
Since the beginning of 2013/14 MY, and as of March 3, 2014, Ukraine already exported 24.7 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 36.8% compared with the same period last season, reported the press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, wheat export volumes totaled 7.43 mln tonnes (including 6.01 mln tonnes of milling wheat), barley - 2.14 mln tonnes, maize – 14.89 mln tonnes.
In addition, since the beginning of 2013/14 MY Ukraine exported nearly 3 mln tonnes of oilseeds, including 2.06 mln tonnes of rapeseed and 0.93 mln tonnes of soybeans.
In particular, in February Ukrainian agrarians supplied 2.8 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, including 0.4 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.3 mln tonnes of maize, 0.03 mln tonnes of barley. The exports of oilseeds from Ukraine totaled nearly 0.2 mln tonnes.
