Ukraine: as of March 3, grain stocks totaled over 28 mln tonnes - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
As of March 3, 2014, grain stocks in Ukraine totaled more than 28 mln tonnes, including 9.6 mln tonnes of wheat, 3.8 mln tonnes of barley, 13.5 mln tonnes of maize, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on March 4.
According to the announcement, in March-June of 2014 the domestic demand will total 11.9 mln tonnes of grains, and formation of the ending stocks will cover 7.6 mln tonnes, thus the indicative export volumes in the reporting period are expected to reach 8.7 mln tonnes.
