EU plans to cancel import duties for Ukraine – J.Barroso
On March 5 José Manuel Durão Barroso, President of the European Commission, informed on the Brussels intention to unilaterally impose the effect of free trade zone with Ukraine in terms of imports of commodities.
The European Commission is ready to propose to the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament to adopt pre-term unilaterally provision for commodities importing from the Association Agreement and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, which is ready to be signed. It means that Ukraine will save mlns USD of payments on import duties, he said.
