As of March 19, 2014 and since the beginning of 2013/14 MY (July 1, 2013) Russia exported nearly 19.786 mln tonnes of grain, up 40.8% of the last year rate (14.045 mln tonnes), reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
As it is noted wheat exports totaled 14.584 mln tonnes, barley – 2.063 mln tonnes, maize – 2.902 mln tonnes, other grains – 237 thsd tonnes.
Thus in the period of March 1-19, 2014 the Russian grain exports totaled 954 thsd tonnes, including wheat – 503 thsd tonnes, maize – 390 thsd tonnes, barley – 53 thsd tonnes, other crops – 8 thsd tonnes.
