According to the data of APK-Inform, in the period of March 17 - 23, 2014, the grain exports from the Ukrainian sea ports totaled 796.9 thsd tonnes, up 13% of the previous week rate (706 thsd tonnes). Stated rate was reached owing to wheat shipments increase – to 138.1 thsd tonnes as opposed to 5.5 thsd tonnes on the previous week. Corn and barley shipments in the stated period totaled 655.3 (694.1) thsd tonnes and 3.5 thsd tonnes (in the period of March 10-16 there was no barley shipments).
The largest grain shipments was realized by Odessa commercial port (160 thsd tonnes), the group of terminals “TIS” (139.6 thsd tonnes) and also the company “Nibulon” (116.5 thsd tonnes).
