Ukraine not to cancel the VAT refund for grain exports?

On March 26, 2014 the members of the Agrarian Policy and Land Relations Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine offer not to cancel the VAT refund for grain exports. They stated as of to date in the Ukrainian Government there is the discussion on the VAT cancellation, which came into force in January, 2014, and also suspension of tax credit charge for grain exports.

Thus, the government proposes to make the grain producers the only subjects of Ukrainian economy, that can not pretend on VAT refund if they export their products.

At the same time, note in 2013 grain prices decreased by nearly 40%, meanwhile its production prime-cost significantly increased. Thus, nearly 7 thsd of small-scale farming enterprises are at risk of closing.

According to the members of the Agrarian Committee, the VAT refund cancellation to cause the agricultural enterprises mass failure and the growth of unemployment in the agroindustrial complex of Ukraine.
