Ukraine continues realizing the export plan on grains in 2013/14 MY – Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation
Despite worsening of thew political situation in the country, Ukraine continues realizing its plan for grain exports in 2013/14 MY, declared Sergei Stoyanov, Director of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, on April 1.
According to the expert estimations, as of March 1, 2014, the remaining stocks of sustainable exports of grains from Ukraine in March-June period total 8.8 mln tonnes, or 2.2 mln tonnes per month.
In fact, in March 2014 Ukraine exported 2.3 mln tonnes of grains, including 2.2 mln tonnes tonnes of maize, 250 thsd tonnes of wheat. Barley exports totaled 7 thsd tonnes only. Also, the port terminals exported 90 thsd tonnes of oilseeds, including 80 thsd tonnes of soybeans.
Since the beginning of 2013/14 MY Ukraine exported 26.6 mln tonnes of grains, including 16.6 mln tonnes of maize, 7.6 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.1 mln tonnes of barley.
