The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia forecasted the growth of agricultural commodities production in 2014 at the level of 2-2.5%, declared Nikolai Fedorov, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on March 27.
The Minister stated that the reporting index for the plant-growing sector will be at the level of 3%, for the cattle-breeding sector – 2%.
As a reminder, according to data of the Federal State Statistics Service, in 2013 the agricultural production growth in Russia totaled 6.2%.
