USA suspended several projects with Russia, to fund new initiatives with Ukraine
The USA temporarily suspended several projects planned under the auspices of the US-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission, as well as some cooperative law enforcement activities. Funding for these activities will instead be used to contribute to a package of US assistance to Ukraine, following consultation with Congress, reported the US State Department website on April 2.
It is also reported that the funds will be used to support economic reforms and address other pressing needs, including combating corruption and recovering stolen assets.
