Ukraine to suspend sugar supplies on the Asian market
The National Association of Sugar Producers Ukrtsukor will suspend the exports of Ukrainian sugar on Asian markets, due to the current difficulties with transit through the territory of the Russian Federation, declared Nikolai Yarchuk, Chairman of the Board of the Association, on April 3.
According to N.Yarchuk, sugar producers face some difficulties with arrivals and returns of railway cars for commodity transportation.
N.Yarchuk stated that signing of the free-trade zone agreement between Ukraine and the European Union will allow to domestic sugar producers to supply 20 thsd tonnes of the commodity on the European market, because 10 Ukrainian plants produce sugar of the required quality.
