Russia: in March grain exports exceeded 2 mln tonnes
In March 2014 Russia exported 2.015 mln tonnes of grains, including 1.296 mln tonnes of wheat, 593 thsd tonnes of maize, 102 thsd tonnes of barley, 24 thsd tonnes of other grain crops, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on April 7.
Since the beginning of 2013/14 MY (July 1, 2013), and as of April 2, the general grain exports from Russia already totaled 20.847 mln tonnes, an increase of 47.3% compared with the same date in 2013 (14.147 mln tonnes).
In particular, wheat share formed 15.377 mln tonnes from the specified volume, barley – 2.111 mln tonnes, maize – 3.106 mln tonnes, other grains - 253 thsd tonnes.
