Ukraine exported nearly 28 mln tonnes of grains - Ministry of Agrarian Policy
Since the beginning of 2013/14 MY, and as of April 7, 2014, Ukraine has already exported nearly 28 mln tonnes of grains, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, wheat exports totaled 7.879 mln tonnes, maize - 17.703 mln tonnes, barley - 2.153 mln tonnes.
As of reporting date the port elevators stored 1.096 mln tonnes of grains (335 thsd tonnes of wheat, 88 thsd tonnes of barley, 664 thsd tonnes of maize), loaded onto vessels – 176 thsd tonnes of grains.
Thus, the volumes of grains, exported and prepared for exports, totaled 29.3 mln tonnes (8.2 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.2 mln tonnes of barley, 18.5 mln tonnes of maize).
