Kazakhstan: as of April 1, grain stocks totaled 9.647 mln tonnes
As of April 1, 2014, the carry-over stocks of grains and pulses in Kazakhstan totaled 9.647 mln tonnes, reported the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the announcement, grain harvesting centers and elevators stocked 3.482 mln tonnes of grains, agricultural enterprises – 3.555 mln tonnes, flour milling enterprises and other companies – 1.129 mln tonnes, peasant and individual farms – 1.48 mln tonnes.
In particular, wheat volumes reached 8.202 mln tonnes (6.38 mln tonnes of milling wheat, 251.386 thsd tonnes of feed wheat), maize - 39.307 thsd tonnes, rice - 103.599 thsd tonnes, barley - 965.888 thsd tonnes, rye - 19.472 thsd tonnes, and oats - 148.601 thsd tonnes, buckwheat - 47.389 thsd tonnes, millet – 23.006 thsd tonnes.
