By 2020, the annual grain production in Russia will exceed the level of 120 mln tonnes, and the export potential may reach 40 mln tonnes, declared Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
The reporting indicators will improve food security situation in the Asian region, he stressed.
Also, A.Dvorkovich confirmed readiness of Russia for development of fast and safe transport corridors in the Asia- Pacific region in cooperation with other countries. Russia already started serious renovation of the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Baikal-Amur Mainline. It will allow founding another convenient transport corridor between Asia and Europe. Russia also continues further developing of the Northern Sea Route, and invites other partners to participate in the project, said the Deputy Prime Minister.
