Due to uncertainty of the passage conditions through the Kerch Strait, some shipowners are trying to raise their freight rates, declared Artem Mazny, Deputy Director on marketing of LLC Ukrtransagro, on April 15 during his speech at the press-conference "Grain cargoes logistics: exports in the new environment of Ukraine".

Also, he noted that charterers and shipowners require some insurance for realizing of ship entry. At the same time, A.Mazny believes that the Azov Sea ports occupy the certain niche in the structure of grain exports, because they allow forming small-scale batches, required by countries of the Middle East and North Africa.

According to him, the company has several projects on further development, including optimization of the logistics and expansion of the production capacity. Also, Ukrtransagro plans to cover the promising market of grain and oilseed by-products, which are mainly shipped from the Azov Sea ports, due to the small-scale vessel parties, and concentration of the major oil-extraction plants in the eastern region of Ukraine, concluded the Deputy Director.
