In April-June Ukraine may export over 5.7 mln tonnes of grains
In April-June of 2013 Ukraine may export 5.743 mln tonnes of grains (including grain by-products), reported the Interdepartmental working group under the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
According to the announcement, the Ministry estimated foreign shipments of wheat in the reporting period at 1.553 mln tonnes, barley - 254 thsd tonnes, maize - 3.824 mln tonnes, rye - 46 thsd tonnes.
In the period of July 2013 - April 2014 Ukraine already exported 27.749 mln tonnes of grains, including 8.003 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.208 mln tonnes of barley, 17.18 mln tonnes of maize.
It is expected that by the end of the current MY the Ukrainian grain exports may reach 33.492 mln tonnes, including 9.556 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.462 mln tonnes of barley, and 21.004 mln tonnes of maize.
The future carry-over stocks of grains on July 1, 2014, are estimated at 7.109 mln tonnes.
