According to the data of the statistics, in the period of September-March of 2013/14 MY, Russia imported 969 thsd tonnes of soybeans, as opposed to the same rates of 2012/13 and 2011/12 MY (716.6 thsd tonnes and 740.5 thsd tonnes respectively).
In the current season Russia purchased soybeans in 14 countries. At the same time, the major soybeans suppliers were the USA (40% of the total imports), Paraguay (31%) and Ukraine (12%).
Remind, that in the season 2012/13 Russia imported the stated crop from 16 countries. The major suppliers were Paraguay (66%), the USA (11%), Brazil (9%) and Ukraine (6%).
