Kazakhstan to build three dry bulk terminals

On July 1, 2014 in Kazakhstan in cooperation with the Australian company IPD there will be built the three dry bulk terminals at the sea port Aktau, declared the Chairman of the Transport Control Committee of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan, Asset Assavbayev on April 25, 2014.

A.Assavbayev stated IPD has the wide experience in the development of the port building infrastructure. The company will invest nearly 60% of the total value of the building.

According to the Chairman of the Committee, to date there were built the safety hydraulic structures and they are conducting the new harbour deepening. The last one will allow to increase the port outlanding capacity on the dry cargoes shipment to 20.5 mln tonnes annually.

Also in the middle of the current year the State enterprise “Kazakhstan temir zholy” in cooperation with China will start the building of the terminal at the Lianyungang port. The major aim of the stated decision is the capability of transit cargoes' processing and shipping, departure from the South-East Asia and Australia with the full set of the high quality services for all the transport shippers of the export-import and transit destinations.
