As of April 25, 2014, 7.3 mln ha of winter crops areas in Ukraine were in good and satisfactory condition, or 94% of the general planted areas of winter grains (7.8 mln ha). The condition of 0.4 mln ha (5%) of the areas was estimated as weak and thinned, 101.4 thsd ha (1%) of the areas were lost, declared the press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on April 28.
As for winter rapeseed areas, 571.4 thsd ha (60%) of the planted areas were in good condition, 286.6 thsd ha (30%) - satisfactory, 62.5 thsd ha (7%) - weak and thinned, 32.2 thsd ha (3%) - perished.
