In 2014 Ukraine exported over 1.3 mln tonnes of grains to Egypt
According to the official statistics data, since beginning of 2014 Egypt imported 4.36 mln tonnes of grains, including 2.68 mln tonnes of wheat and 1.68 mln tonnes of maize.
It should be noted that the share of Ukrainian grains in the reporting import volume totaled nearly 30%. Thus, the sea ports of Ukraine supplied 360.36 thsd tonnes of wheat and 953.98 thsd tonnes of maize to the country.
The sea ports of Russia supplied 744.31 thsd tonnes of grains to Egypt, and Romania – 477.76 thsd tonnes in the reporting period.
