Russia to increase the container shipments of agricultural crops

In Russia there is an increase of legumes and oilseeds container shipments.

According to the data of the Federal State-Funded Institution «Center for Grain Quality Assurance», in Russia there is an increase of legumes and oilseeds container shipments.

Thus, in 2013 the grain exports totaled 362 containers, as opposed to the same rate of 2012 (50 containers). The major exported crops were garbanzo, pea, lentil, flax and mustard seeds. At the same time, the extension of the shipped crops is based on the demand.

Also, there was the extension of the shipments' geographic. Thus, in 2012 the major Russian grain importers were Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan. Meanwhile, in 2013 the addition export directions were India, Nepal, Lebanon, Vietnam, the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, South Africa, since the beginning of 2014 – Brazil, the UK and Saudi Arabia. At the same time, in the current year the container shipments continue an increase.
