Ukraine: Verkhovna Rada registered the draft law to establish the export duties on crude sunflower oil
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine registered the draft law #4858, which proposes to establish the export duties on crude sunflower oil. The People's Deputies of Ukraine Olexandr Myrnyi (All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda) and Ihor Miroshnychenko (All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda) are the authors of the document.
In particular, the document proposes to set the export duties at the rate of 3% of the customs value of the goods since January 1, 2015.
According to the explanatory note, the draft law is designed to redistribute incomes of the Government. For example, crude sunflower oil forms 90% of the general exports of the commodity type from Ukraine.
Thus, the domestic producers do not export the final product, but the actual semi-finished product. Thus, the Government is losing working places and the corresponding profit, which may be obtained from the activities of sunflower oil refining and sale of the end product, informed the note.
According to the authors of the draft law, realization of its provisions during practical application after its adoption will result in coming of budget revenues at nearly 792.825 mln UAH.
