In the I quarter of 2014 Kazakhstan increased grain exports to 1.35 mln tonnes
In January-March of 2014 Kazakhstan exported 1.315 mln tonnes of wheat and meslin, an increase of 39.3% compared with the same period in 2013, declared the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is noted that in the reporting period the exports of wheat and meslin in monetary terms totaled 305.6 mln USD, up 7.4% compared with last year.
In addition, Kazakhstan exported 469.6 thsd tonnes of wheat and rye flour (up 39.8%) at the sum of 134.8 mln USD (up 18.8%).
As a reminder, in 2013 the general grain harvest in Kazakhstan totaled 18.9 mln tonnes.
