In January-April of 2014 the production volumes of wheat and wheat-rye flour in Russia totaled 2.8 mln tonnes, a decrease of 4.1% compared with the index in the same month of 2013, declared the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) on May 20.
Also, Russia showed some rise of buckwheat groats production – up 32.5% to 138 thsd tonnes.
In addition, in the reporting period Russia significantly increased the production of crude sunflower oil and its fractions to 1.5 mln tonnes, up 36.9%, informed Rosstat.
