Ukraine exported over 31 mln tonnes of grains
Since the beginning of 2013/14 MY (July 1), and as of May 26, 2014, Ukraine already exported 31.337 mln tonnes of grains, informed the press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, wheat exports volumes totaled 8.981 mln tonnes, maize - 19.673 mln tonnes, barley - 2.309 mln tonnes, other grains - 374 thsd tonnes.
In addition, as of the reporting date the port elevators stocked 722 thsd tonnes of grain crops, including 350 thsd tonnes of wheat, 65 thsd tonnes of barley, 286 thsd tonnes of maize. Grain stocks, loaded to the vessels, reached 21 thsd tonnes.
Thus, as of May 26, the general volume of exported grains and the stocks prepared for exports, reached 32.1 mln tonnes (9.4 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.3 mln tonnes of barley, 20 mln tonnes of maize), added the Ministry.
