S.Füle came out for acceptance of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia to the EU

In terms of establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, Štefan Füle, European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, argued for acceptance of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova to the European Union.

He noted that enlargement of the EU is a "powerful tool" for transformation in Eastern Europe countries.

According to him, the prospect of European integration is "the best incentive for reforming of Eastern European countries”.

The European Commissioner added that from the standpoint of the EU members, the current Association Agreement with Ukraine is not be the ultimate goal of bilateral cooperation. S.Füle stressed that in the same way it applies to the other countries, which signed the similar document - Georgia and Moldova.
