To date the general capacities of the grain sea terminals of Ukraine total 44.4 mln tonnes, the practical capacity - 42.2 mln tonnes, including the deep-sea ports - 24.5 mln tonnes, and excluding the Crimean ports - 38 mln tonnes, and 21 mln tonnes respectively, declared Andrei Shklyar, Head of the analytical department of the Centre for Transport Strategies, on May 30.

He noted that in the case of realization of all announced projects in Odessa Commercial Sea Port, Nikolaev Sea Trade Port and Yuzhny Commercial Sea Port, in 2020 the shipment capacities for grains in Ukraine will increase by 36.8 mln tonnes, to 74.8 mln tonnes (excluding the ports of the Crimean peninsula), and in the case of construction of the terminals by PJSC State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine and the Group Summa - to 85.8 mln tonnes.

The situation in the Crimea promoted the acceleration of realization of the projects on grain shipment in the Ukrainian ports: some projects are almost completed, some got a breath of new life, summed A.Shklyar.
