In January-April Russia exported 4.27 mln tonnes of wheat - Federal Customs Service
In January-April period of 2014 Russia exported 4.274 mln tonnes of wheat and meslin at the general sum of 1.18 bln USD, declared the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation on June 6.
According to the announcement, the country exported the major share of the reporting grain volumes to far-abroad countries - 4.213 mln tonnes at the sum of 1.165 bln USD. The supplies to the CIS countries totaled 60.9 thsd tonnes of Russian wheat (at 15.8 mln USD).
According to the the Federal Customs Service, in the reporting period the imports of wheat and meslin to the Russian Federation totaled 183.4 thsd tonnes, at 41.6 mln USD. The major grain volumes were imported from the CIS countries - 183.1 thsd tonnes (41.4 mln USD).
Also, in January-April Russia imported 61 thsd tonnes of barley, and 37.8 thsd tonnes of maize.
