The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation approved the program of sectoral development for the fat-and-oil industry of Russia in 2014-2016 period. Nikolai Fedorov, Head of the Ministry, signed the respective decree #170 on May 23, 2014.
The target indicators of the program stipulate increasing of the annual production volumes of oilseeds in Russia to the level of 15 mln tonnes until 2016, including sunflower seed - 10.2 mln tonnes, rapeseed - 1.9 mln tonnes, soybeans - 2.2 mln tonnes.
In 2016 the production volumes of vegetable oils in Russia should increase to 4.5 mln tonnes, including sunflower oil - to 3.5 mln tonnes, rapeseed oil - 0.35 mln tonnes, soybeans - 0 37 mln tonnes. The margarine production volumes should reach 480 thsd tonnes per year, spreads - 140 thsd tonnes, etc.
By 2016 the annual production volumes of oilseed cakes and meals should reach 5.1 mln tonnes.
The general investments for realization of the program will total 34.52 bln RUR, including the internal resources of the organizations - 10.356 bln RUR, borrowings – 24.164 bln RUR.
