Russia exported nearly 25 mln tonnes of grains
Since the beginning of 2013/14 MY (July 1, 2013), and as of June 4, 2014, Russia has already exported 24.703 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 61.4% compared with the same date in 2013 (15.173 mln tonnes), declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation referring to operative data of the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
According to the announcement, wheat formed 17.951 mln tonnes of the reporting volume, barley – 2.51 mln tonnes, maize – 3.929 mln tonnes, other grain crops - 313 thsd tonnes.
In the period of June 1-4 the export volumes of Russian grains reached 128 thsd tonnes, including 57 thsd tonnes of wheat, 10 thsd tonnes of maize, 61 thsd tonnes of barley, and 0.1 thsd tonnes of other grains.
