Since beginning of 2013/14 MY and as of the end of April 2014, the export volumes of peas from Russia totaled 261 thsd tonnes, down 2 times compared with the last year volumes. Low production volumes and poor qualitative indices of the Russian grain of the harvest-2013 became the main reasons for reduction of the export shipments.
It is worth noting that according to estimations of APK-Inform Agency, in 2013/14 MY the peas exports may reach 330 thsd tonnes, down 1.5 times compared with the index in 2012/13 MY.
