Ukraine may double the tariff quotas for commodities supply to the EU in the current year – V.Pyatnitsky
In case of signing and ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU in 2014, Ukraine has all opportunities to double the tariff quotas for its domestic products in the current year, declared Valery Pyatnitsky, Government's Commissioner for European Integration.
Thus, the domestic commodity producers may use the tariff quotas provided by the EU autonomous trade preferences, and the similar volumes of tariff quotas since the beginning date of the period of effect of the Agreement until December 31, 2014.
At the same time, V.Pyatnitsky stressed that the EU imposes the tariff quotas for those commodities which its market is very sensitive to, and which are excluded from the regime of liberalization in the terms of signing the Free trade zone, i.e. face the standard taxation scheme during customs clearance. At the same time, Ukraine received the opportunity to export the certain volumes of the reporting commodities free of customs duties at all.
