Ukrainian share in the global exports of maize may grade up with the US share – O.Bakhmatyuk
Development of the markets of the Middle East, China, Indonesia and North Africa allows to Ukraine to match with the USA in the sphere of maize export volumes, declared Oleg Bakhmatyuk, Chairman of the Board of the largest Ukrainian agricultural holding UkrLandFarming, on July 7.
According to him, Ukraine and the US provide two-thirds of the world maize exports, but the USA covers nearly 50% of the reporting volumes.
In future the common contribution of these two countries may rise to 70%, and the Ukrainian share will be equal to the US one, forecasted O.Bakhmatyuk.
According to him, in the current year Ukraine has to focus on development of the infrastructure, and in 2015 the country may take a chance, when the political stability allows realizing the most rapid economic recovery.
