Kazakhstan: prices for agricultural commodities increased by 4.2%

In the first part of 2014 sales prices for agricultural commodities in Kazakhstan increased by 4.2%, declared the Agency of statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan on July 8, 2014.

In June, 2014, compared to December 2013, the sales prices for farming commodities rose by 8.1%, for livestock ones – decreased by 1.5%.

According to the data of the Agency, in the period of January-June, 2014 prices for wheat rose by 10%, riсe – 3.1%, barley – 2.3%, millet – 0.1%, at the same time the stated rate is reduced for buckwheat by 19.9%, rye – 17.1%, maize – 3.4%, oat – 0.9%.

Incremental price for peas totaled 14.1%, sunflower seeds – 1.1%.

Also, a bullish trend faced the prices for poultry meat – 4.1%, pork – 1.6%, horse meat – 1.4%, beaf – 0.3%. Prices for eggs decreased by 25.7%, and for milk rose by 4.8%.
