Ukraine produced over 7.8 mln tonnes of grain

According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as of July 8, 2014 Ukrainian agrarians had harvested grain throughout of 2.68 mln ha, or 27% of the plan (excluding Crimea). Thus, there were produced 7.83 mln tonnes of early grains and pulses, the average yield totaled 2.93 t/ha.

According to the data of the Ministry, as of the same date of 2013 grains had been harvested throughout of 3.67 mln ha. There were produced 10.07 mln tonnes of grain with the average yield of 2.74 t/ha.

In particular, agrarians harvested winter wheat throughout of 1.38 mln ha and produced 4.21 mln tonnes of grain with the average yield of 3.06 t/ha.

Also, as of the reported date Ukraine had harvested winter barley throughout of 1.25 mln ha and produced 3.51 mln tonnes of grain with the yield of 2.82 t/ha.

Also, agrarians harvested rye throughout of 2.2 thsd ha and produced 4.1 thsd tonnes of grain with the average yield at the level of 1.95 t/ha.

Ukraine harvested 104 thsd tonnes of peas throughout of 52 thsd ha with the average yield of 1.99 t/ha.

At the same time, agrarians harvested 585 thsd tonnes of winter rapeseed throughout of 323 thsd ha with the yield at the level of 1.81 t/ha.

In Zaporizhzhya, Nikolaev and Kherson oblast Ukrainian agrarians started to harvest oats. Thus, there was produced 0.9 thsd tonnes of the stated crop.
