Agricultural producers of Luhansk oblast appealed the Cabinet of Ministers to compensate the harvest losses due to the antiterrorist operation in the region, declared the Head of the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine, Sergey Kovalev on July 10, 2014.
S.Kovalev stated the losses totaled 1.6 thsd ha of plantings due to the fires in the region.
He also mentioned, that the major problem for harvesting works is mined fields. It is impossible to harvest due to the risks on people and machinary casualty.
At the same time, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Igor Schwayka stated the issue will be examine on July 11, 2014 within the meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Finance.
