Cargill suspended operation of oil crushing plant in Donetsk oblast
On July 4, 2014 Cargill suspended operation up oil crushing plant in Donetsk oblast due to the escalation of tension in the region. The company does not forecast when the plant resumes its operation.
Cargill is one of the largest producers and suppliers of food products and agricultural commodities in the World. In Ukraine Cargill has two oil crushing plants in Donetsk and Kherson oblast and six elevators. Also Cargill hold 5% of shares of the largest Ukrainian agrarian holding “UkrLandFarming”. The land-bank of the holding totals nearly 670 thsd ha, including 12 thsd ha in the Crimea and nearly 32 thsd ha in Donetsk and Luhansk oblast.
