In 2014, in Russia total grain production may exceed 100 mln tonnes, declared the Head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Nikolay Fyodorov on Jult 16, 2014.
N.Fyodorov mentioned that the stated issue is based on the grain yield increase.
The Minister stated to date yield total 3.55 t/ha, up 0.5 t/ha compared to the rate of the previous year.
He added that at an early date the Government plans to provide agrarians with the additional financial support at the amount of 17 bln RUR. N.Fyodorov appealed the Heads of the regional agrarian departments to utilize federal funds by September, 2014.
